Corina Pavlova is a little girl who only wants one thing for Christmas – a pet and not the new baby brother who has just arrived.

So when Mr McAlistair, who owns Mr McAlistair’s Pet Shop, promises Corina Pavlova the perfect pet in time for Christmas, Corina can’t wait to find out what it might be. A kitten? A snake? A zebra, perhaps?

But this is no ordinary Pet Shop. In Mr McAlistair’s Pet Shop, the pet chooses you! She meets a monkey, a snake neither of whom want to live with Corina and then eventually a lion.

Corina takes the Lion home and finds out that this might not be the pet she was hoping for…

Join Corina for an exciting adventure filled with animals of all shapes and sizes in a festive treat for all the family, full of singing, dancing and roaring!

Corina Pavlova has been written by Elen Caldecott an acclaimed children’s writer, bringing her talents to the world of theatre for the first time.

Anne Rainsbury, curator at Chepstow Museum said “Sherman Theatre produce wonderful and magical children’s shows with imaginative settings and talented actors who can sing, play musical instruments and change characters before your eyes. They have entranced audiences of young children at the Drill Hall for many years”

Tickets for shows are available now from Chepstow Museum (tel 01291 625981) or call in, Monday – Saturday 11-4, Sunday 2-4
