FOOMA School Disco Thursday 29th March 2018

Infant / KS1 Disco (Pre-school, Rec, Y1 & Y2)  - 3:15pm  - 4:30pm       

¨ Entrance to the Disco  - £4 per child which will include

    Hot Dogs                              Sweets                      Drinks                       Crisps

                                                Glow Sticks              Raffle Tickets

 · The disco must be paid in advance (to avoid queues and allow everyone to have food). Please send money in a marked envelope to the class teacher or the office.

· Please bring disco clothes to school in a clearly named carrier bag. Teachers will help dress pupils for the disco and escort them to the hall.

· Pre-school children and/or siblings are welcome but must be paid in advance. Parents need to stay at the disco with pre-school children.

· Parents are welcome to attend if you want to, or you can pick up at 4:30pm.  Please let us know if someone else will be taking your child home.

                             

¨  Junior Disco - (Y3, Y4, Y5 & Y6)  - 4:45pm to 6.00pm  

¨ Entrance to the Disco  - £1.50 per child  

                       

        Hot Dogs - 50p                                   Sweets - 10p                       Drinks - 30p            

Crisps - 30p              Glow Sticks - 30p                           Raffle Tickets - £1 per strip

 

 · Any child not respecting the rules will be asked to leave by FOOMA

Sport Relief Thursday 22nd March

DONATE £1 TO WEAR SPORTS / PE KIT TO SCHOOL ON THURSDAY 22ND MARCH. WINTER MINI OLYMPICS FOR ALL CLASSES. ALL MONEY RAISED WILL GO TO SPORT RELIEF

Palm Sunday Parade Sunday 25th March

Parents and children are invited to join the annual Palm Sunday parade with donkey next Sunday 25th March.

We gather at the Memorial Hall at 10:20 ready to walk down to the church/Tutshill school, where there are activities for children.

OFFA'S MEAD ACADEMY WILL BE OPEN ON MONDAY 19TH MARCH. WE HAVE INSPECTED THE SITE AND FEEL IT IS SAFE TO OPEN. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN ENTERING THE GROUNDS AS THERE IS STILL A BIT OF SNOW AROUND

Robin Hood - Friday 16th March

The Image Theatre Group are performing their adaptation of Robin Hood to the whole Academy on Friday 16th March.

World Book

We had a fantastic World Book Day on Monday 12th March. Everyone looked AMAZING in their costumes. Well done to everyone for a fabulous effort. Author Andy Seed talked to the children during assembly about being an author. He then worked with every class throughout the day before signing some of his books for children and parents.

DUE THE THE BAD WEATHER WE HAD TO CANCEL WORLD BOOK DAY. THIS IS BEING HELD ON MONDAY 12TH MARCH. PUPILS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DRESS UP AS THEIR FAVOURITE  BOOK CHARACTERS. AS WELL AS RECEIVING A BOOK TOKEN THERE IS LOCAL AUTHOR, ANDY SEED, COMING IN TO TALK TO ALL THE PUPILS ON THE DAY. ANDY WILL BE SIGNING BOOKS ON THE DAY. BOOKS ARE AVAILABLE TO BUY FROM £5 - £7

WE HAVE ASSESSED THE SCHOOL GROUNDS AND HAVE DECIDED IT IS SAFE TO OPEN ON MONDAY 5TH MARCH. PLEASE DO BE CAREFUL WALKING DOWN THE PATH IT IS VERY WET WITH SOME PATCHES OF SNOW REMAINING

DUE TO ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS FORECAST AND MULTIPLE SCHOOL CLOSURES, WE ARE UNABLE TO SAFELY STAFF THE SCHOOL TODAY. ALTHOUGH SNOW IS JUST BEGINNING TO FALL, WE ARE UNABLE TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF PUPILS AND STAFF FOR THE DURATION OF THE SCHOOL DAY.
